OEKO-TEX certification is a large umbrella that incorporate as multitude of services and certifications. The aim of STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certification assesses, evaluates, and aims to eliminate the use of harmful substances in textile manufacturing. A fabric which is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certified is proven to be skin-friendly in various different classes including products for infants, products with direct skin contact, and decorational material. Further OEKO-TEX certifications include STeP by OEKO-TEX which details sustainable manufacturing processes and social responsibilities, MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX which includes full traceability and transparency for the consumer, and further services for leather standards and partnerships with Greenpeace.
